LUANDA, ANGOLA, 10 SEPTEMBER 2026 – Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola today joined title partner Visit Angola for a guided tour of Luanda, providing the Team with an opportunity to discover the history, culture and character of the Angolan capital ahead of the UIM E1 World Championship race weekend.
The programme took the Team through some of Luanda’s historic and cultural areas, offering an introduction to the city’s heritage and its development as Angola’s capital on the Atlantic coast. The visit provided the pilots and Team members with further insight into the country they represent on the international E1 stage.
The tour formed part of the wider partnership between Westbrook Racing and Visit Angola, announced in March 2026. The partnership sees the Team compete as Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola, using the international platform of E1 and the Team’s content channels to support the promotion of Angola as tourism and cultural destinations.
Lucas Ordóñez, pilot for Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola, said: “One of the interesting parts of racing internationally is having the opportunity to discover new countries and understand the places that host the championship. E1 has brought us to Luanda, and spending time discovering the city with Visit Angola has given us a much better understanding of its history, culture and people. It adds another dimension to being here to race.”
Sara Price, pilot for Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola, said: “Africa already has an important connection with my racing career through cross-country rallying, so it is great to return to the continent in a different racing environment. Discovering more about Luanda and Angola with Visit Angola is a great way to start the week and gives real context to the country the Team is representing.”
The visit reflects one of the objectives of the partnership with Visit Angola: using sport and international competition to introduce audiences to Angola beyond the race itself. Through the Team’s presence in E1, the partnership provides a platform to connect racing with the country’s culture, tourism and destinations.
Westbrook Racing by Visit Angola will continue its programme in Luanda as preparations progress for the E1 race weekend.
