WESTBROOK RACING ANNOUNCES PILOT LINEUP RENEWAL FOR 2025 SEASON

Los Angeles, CA – December 23, 2024 – Westbrook Racing is thrilled to announce the renewal of its pilot lineup, Sara Price and Lucas Ordóñez, for the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship. This marks another milestone in the team’s journey, as the dynamic duo continues to bring their elite skill and competitive spirit to the water.

The 2025 UIM E1 World Championship Season 2 will kick off with an opening race in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, from January 23-25, 2025. As the world’s first and only all-electric raceboat series, E1 blends high-speed thrills, technology and sustainability, perfectly aligning with Westbrook Racing’s core values.

Will Smith, the globally celebrated actor and entrepreneur behind Westbrook Racing, expressed his pride and commitment to the team: “I couldn’t be prouder of our team at Westbrook Racing. Sara and Lucas have shown incredible grit, determination, and talent, proving they are among the best in the sport. Last season’s success—finishing as runners-up even though we joined the second race of the season in Venice—was a testament to their skill and the hard work of everyone involved. Sara Price, a trailblazing racer from the USA with an illustrious career spanning off-road championships and groundbreaking achievements in the Dakar Rally, shared her excitement about continuing her journey with Westbrook Racing: “I’m incredibly proud to be part of Westbrook Racing for another season. This team has given me the platform to push boundaries and inspire the next generation of female racers. With Lucas as my teammate and the entire team’s support, I’m confident we’ll deliver thrilling races and bring home victories for our fans.”

Lucas Ordóñez, the Spanish motorsport star who rose from gaming to professional track racing success, emphasized the significance of the upcoming season: “Renewing my partnership with Westbrook Racing is a dream come true. The energy and vision of this team are unmatched. Competing in the UIM E1 World Championship, with its focus on innovation and sustainability, is both an honor and a responsibility. About the UIM E1 World Championship

E1 is the world’s first and only all-electric raceboat championship sanctioned by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), which is the international governing body for all powerboating activities. The UIM E1 World Championship was established to create a new, exciting and competitive on-water racing platform based on electric technologies to protect and restore our urban waters and coastal areas.  The championship sees nine teams and 18 male and female pilots racing on the water in iconic cities around the world, with races held so far in Jeddah, Venice, Puerto Banus, Monaco and Lake Como.
