FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Jeddah – 20 January 2025 – Historic Italian mineral water brand brings centuries of tradition to the cutting-edge world of electric boat racing.

Westbrook Racing is delighted to announce Acqua Fiuggi, the iconic mineral water brand from Italy, as its official water partner for the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship season. The partnership will see the renowned Acqua Fiuggi hydrate Westbrook Racing’s pilots, Sara and Lucas, as well as the entire team, throughout the championship’s demanding global calendar.

Hailing from the historic town of Fiuggi, nestled in the picturesque hills south of Rome, Fiuggi water has been celebrated for centuries for its unique mineral composition and natural healing properties. Its legacy dates back to the 1300s, when figures such as Pope Boniface VIII and Michelangelo praised its ability to relieve ailments, solidifying its reputation as one of Europe’s most treasured natural resources. Today, Fiuggi continues to embody excellence and purity, cherished by locals and global consumers alike.

As part of this collaboration, the Acqua Fiuggi logo will feature prominently on the team’s RaceBird powerboat, pilot race kits, and team uniforms, debuting at the opening race in Jeddah in January 2025.

Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, principal shareholder of Acqua Fiuggi, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “This collaboration represents a perfect union of tradition and innovation. Acqua Fiuggi’s centuries-old heritage of quality and purity aligns seamlessly with Westbrook Racing’s cutting-edge approach to sustainability and performance. Together, we are not just racing—we are setting new standards for excellence on the global stage.”

Phil Allen, Team Principal of Westbrook Racing, added: “Hydration is crucial for our pilots and crew as they face the intense physical demands of the E1 championship. Partnering with Acqua Fiuggi ensures we have the best, and we’re thrilled to bring this historic Italian brand into the fast-paced world of electric powerboat racing.”

Yan Lefort, Commercial & Marketing Director of Westbrook Racing, commented: “Acqua Fiuggi’s rich history and reputation for excellence make it an ideal partner for Westbrook Racing. This partnership highlights our shared values of quality, innovation, and sustainability. We’re excited to showcase Acqua Fiuggi to a global audience through the UIM E1 World Championship.”

Westbrook Racing and Acqua Fiuggi are set to make waves in the 2025 season, beginning with the opening race in Jeddah on January 24-25.
