ANGOLA WESTBROOK RACING CLAIMS DUBROVNIK VICTORY TO EXTEND CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD

Dubrovnik, Croatia – 14 June 2026 – Angola Westbrook Racing secured victory today at the E1 Dubrovnik GP 2026, delivering a second consecutive race victory following its success in Lake Como and extending its lead at the top of the UIM E1 World Championship standings. In front of a strong attendance of team owners and sporting figures including LeBron James, Rafael Nadal and Kyle Kuzma, Angola Westbrook Racing pilots Lucas Ordóñez and Sara Price delivered a composed and disciplined performance throughout one of the most challenging race weekends of the season. Set against the backdrop of Dubrovnik’s historic coastline and the Adriatic Sea, the event once again demonstrated why the Croatian city has become one of the standout destinations on the E1 calendar. The venue, renowned for its spectacular setting and technical race course, has quickly established itself as a favourite among teams and pilots, including Sara Price, while continuing to provide one of the most visually striking stages in international motorsport. The weekend began with significant disruption as adverse weather conditions forced organisers to revise the planned schedule. The cancellation of the original Free Practice Thursday programme resulted in an unusually compressed Friday, with teams required to complete Free Practice in the morning before moving directly into Qualifying in the afternoon. The Team established strong pace from its first laps on the water before carrying that momentum into qualifying where Lucas Ordóñez and Sara Price secured pole position. The performance reflected the quality of preparation delivered by the entire organisation, with mechanics and performance personnel working efficiently to maximise the available running despite the condensed timetable. Race day presented an entirely different challenge. Strong winds and rough seas created demanding conditions, testing both pilots and equipment throughout the final races of the day. Several teams encountered significant difficulties as conditions deteriorated. Despite the challenging conditions, Angola Westbrook Racing maintained its performance level throughout the event. The Finals produced one of the most demanding contests of the season. After Team Brady claimed victory in Final 1, the outcome of the Dubrovnik GP would be decided in the second and final race. Following a red flag interruption in lap 1, racing resumed in difficult conditions with little room for error. Lucas Ordóñez delivered a decisive drive after the restart to secure the chequered flag and overall victory for Angola Westbrook Racing. The result completed a dominant weekend for the Team, which topped the timesheets in Free Practice, secured pole position and converted that pace into victory on race day. Beyond the sporting performance, the victory was built on disciplined execution across every area of the operation. Despite the challenging conditions and compressed schedule, the Team managed the weekend effectively from both a strategic and technical perspective. A minor technical issue was identified early in the event and resolved before it could affect performance, allowing the RaceBird to perform faultlessly throughout the remainder of the weekend. Combined with strong race management and consistent execution from the pilots, the result demonstrated the strength of the Team’s overall operation. Phil Allen, Team Principal of Angola Westbrook Racing, said: “Dubrovnik demanded a huge amount from everyone involved. The schedule changes, the weather conditions and the sea state created a very challenging environment from the start of the weekend. What makes this victory particularly satisfying is the way the team responded. We had a compressed programme, limited preparation time and difficult conditions throughout the event, yet every department performed exceptionally well. We were fastest in Free Practice, secured pole position and then converted that into victory on race day. The strategy team made the right calls, the pilots executed under pressure and the technical crew delivered a boat that performed flawlessly throughout the weekend. This is our second consecutive victory of the season following Lake Como and our third victory since the championship launched in 2024. More importantly, it demonstrates what this team can achieve when preparation, performance and execution come together.” Lucas Ordóñez said: “The conditions were extremely challenging all weekend and every session required complete focus. The team gave us a fantastic boat and everyone executed at a very high level. Winning after a weekend like this is incredibly rewarding because so many people contributed to the result. To leave Dubrovnik with another victory and extend our championship lead is a great achievement for the whole team.” Sara Price added: “Dubrovnik is one of the highlights of the championship. It’s an incredible place to race and the atmosphere throughout the weekend was fantastic. The conditions made things difficult, but the team stayed calm and focused on the job. We managed the weekend well from start to finish and it feels great to secure a second consecutive win heading into Monaco.” The victory extends Angola Westbrook Racing’s lead at the top of the championship to 12 points and marks the Team’s third E1 race victory since the launch of the championship in 2024, following victories in Lake Como in 2024 and Lake Como earlier this season. — END —
