ANGOLA WESTBROOK ARRIVES AT E1 LAKE COMO GP THIS WEEK READY TO BATTLE

Lake Como, Italy, 23 April 2026 – Angola Westbrook Racing returns to action this weekend at the E1 Lake Como GP 2026 presented by Villa d’Este on 24–25 April, as the UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF moves into its European phase following the season-opening round in Jeddah.

The Team arrives in Italy holding fourth position in the Championship standings with 19 points. In Jeddah, Angola Westbrook Racing demonstrated consistent pace across sessions, securing valuable points in a a tightly contested fleet.

Lake Como represents a significant venue in the Team’s history in E1. At the 2024 Lake Como E1 GP, Westbrook Racing secured its maiden victory in the Championship, with pilots Lucas Ordóñez and Sara Price delivering a perfect performance across the Finals to convert a fourth-place qualifying result into an overall win. The result marked a breakthrough for the Team and demonstrated its ability to execute under pressure in a highly competitive field.

The return to the Italian venue provides an opportunity to build on that previous success while addressing key performance areas identified post Jeddah. E1’s technical characteristics and race format place a premium on consistency across sessions, an area that proved decisive in both the 2024 victory and the 2026 season opener.

This event marks the first of three consecutive European races, followed by Dubrovnik and Monaco, in a critical phase of the season where consistency and strategy are expected to influence the results. Preparation has focused on refining race starts, energy management and decision-making under variable water conditions, all of which proved decisive in the opening round.

Phil Allen, Team Principal at Angola Westbrook Racing, said: “The opening race in Jeddah provided a clear picture of the level of competition this season. Our Team showed solid underlying pace, but there are areas where execution can improve. Lake Como is a circuit where the Team has strong references, particularly following the result achieved there in 2024. The objective this weekend is to move up the Championship table and show we are up for the battle this season.”

Lake Como remains one of the most distinctive venues on the E1 calendar, combining technical racing conditions with a high-profile setting. The event is expected to attract strong international attention, supported by its long-standing association with global sport and entertainment figures and its positioning within the Championship’s broader platform.

The race weekend will also serve as an important moment for Angola Westbrook Racing’s commercial and stakeholder engagement activities. The Team will host a delegation of high-profile guests from Angola, alongside representatives from Visit Angola – The Rhythm of Life, its new title partner. Additional guests from new Team partners are also expected to attend, with further partnership announcements scheduled during the weekend.

Off the water, the race weekend will include fan engagement activities in Piazza Risorgimento, offering public access to the E1 paddock environment, simulator experiences and opportunities to connect with teams and pilots. These initiatives reflect the Championship’s focus on accessibility and audience engagement alongside elite competition.

Angola Westbrook Racing approaches the weekend with a clear objective to deliver a competitive performance, as the Team continues its progression in its second full season in the Championship.
