ANGOLA WESTBROOK RACING CLAIMS FIRST WIN OF 2026 SEASON IN LAKE COMO

Lake Como, Italy

Angola Westbrook Racing secured its first victory of the 2026 UIM E1 World Championship season with a commanding performance at the Lake Como GP, returning the Team to the top step of the podium at a venue where it previously won in 2024.

Pilots Sara Price and Lucas Ordóñez delivered a composed and consistent performance throughout the Finals to secure victory after an operationally demanding race day. Early damage sustained during the opening stages required repairs and added pressure to the Team’s programme, but Angola Westbrook Racing recovered strongly to win both Final 1 and Final 2.

The result marks the Team’s second victory in Lake Como and moves Angola Westbrook Racing into the Championship lead heading into the next round in Dubrovnik.

The weekend also represented an important response after a challenging start to the season in Jeddah. Strong execution across strategy, boat preparation and race management enabled the Team to maximise performance across the Finals despite the earlier setback.

Phil Allen, Team Principal, Angola Westbrook Racing, said: “This was a very well-earned result for the entire team. The day did not start smoothly and the damage early in the event created additional pressure on the technical and operational side, but everyone responded calmly and efficiently. Sara and Lucas delivered exactly what was needed in the Finals, and the team executed strongly under difficult conditions. Lake Como has been an important venue for Westbrook Racing historically, so returning here and securing another win carries real significance for the group.”

The Lake Como event also marked the first race appearance under the Angola Westbrook Racing name following the Team’s recently announced title partnership with Visit Angola, as well as the activation of several new commercial and sustainability partnerships introduced during the event week.

Angola Westbrook Racing now leaves Italy leading the Championship standings as the 2026 season continues with the next event in Dubrovnik in June.
