ANGOLA WESTBROOK RACING INTRODUCES DEDICATED WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING STATIONS ACROSS E1 RACE WEEKENDS

Angola Westbrook Racing has launched dedicated waste management and recycling stations across its race weekend operations as part of the Team’s “Powering Performance with Purpose” sustainability strategy and its ongoing commitment to reducing operational environmental impact throughout the UIM E1 World Championship.

The initiative has been developed to support more efficient waste separation and recycling within the high-intensity paddock environment, where operational schedules and venue logistics can create challenges for consistent waste management during events. By installing dedicated recycling and waste collection stations close to core team operations, Angola Westbrook Racing aims to improve accessibility to responsible waste disposal practices for team personnel, suppliers and guests throughout race weekends.

Waste collected through the stations will be separated and processed through local recycling and waste management systems at each race destination. The initiative also supports the Team’s broader sustainability objectives, including reducing reliance on single-use plastics, improving operational sustainability practices and contributing to a positive environmental impact in host locations across the championship calendar.

The project forms part of Angola Westbrook Racing’s wider sustainability platform focused on practical and measurable environmental action integrated directly into race operations. Through initiatives spanning operational efficiency, community engagement and environmental awareness, the Team continues to strengthen its role in supporting higher sustainability standards within electric marine motorsport.

Ana Agostinho, Sustainability Lead at Angola Westbrook Racing, said: “Sustainability in motorsport must be practical, operational and measurable. Race weekends are fast-moving environments with complex logistics, so creating systems that make responsible waste management easier and more efficient is an important step. This initiative reflects the Team’’s commitment to embedding sustainability into everyday operations while supporting positive environmental practices at every race location.”

Phil Allen, Team Principal at Angola Westbrook Racing, added: “Operational performance and environmental responsibility must work together. Introducing dedicated waste management and recycling stations is a practical measure that helps the Team reduce its environmental footprint while maintaining the efficiency required in a championship environment. Angola Westbrook Racing remains focused on implementing solutions that can contribute positively both within the Team and across the wider paddock.”

Angola Westbrook Racing’s sustainability strategy, “Powering Performance with Purpose,” focuses on integrating environmental responsibility, innovation and community engagement into the Team’s activities on and off the water. The strategy includes initiatives linked to waste reduction, circular economy principles, education, regenerative impact and support for E1’s Blue Impact Championship objectives.
